KEVIN YOUKILIS HITS FOR KIDS

AND WRAPPED UP IN SPORTS, INC.

ANNOUNCE “GIVE THANKS AND QUILT” CAMPAIGN

A holiday season campaign to inspire quilters to make sports-inspired quilts for kids at The Italian Home for Children

Boston, MA – Looking for a unique way to give back this holiday season? Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids is teaming up with Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc. in an effort to bring joy this holiday season to the children being served by The Italian Home for Children, one of Youkilis’ favorite charities that treats and houses emotionally and behaviorally challenged children of all races, nationalities and religions.

Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids and Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc. are asking Red Sox and New England sports fans to produce Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, or Boston Bruins inspired-quilts to be collected and presented by Kevin himself along-side Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc. this December to children at The Italian Home for Children.

Between now and December 15th, you can participate in “Give Thanks and Quilt” by producing quilts and submitting them to Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc. For more details, sample patterns, and to learn how to donate a quilt, please visit www.wrappedupinsports.org.

Working with Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids is the ideal collaboration for Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc. “Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids has had an amazing impact supporting underfunded organizations in New England. Their mission is so strongly related to ours that teaming up just felt like a homerun,” says Kate McCullough, President and Founder of Wrapped Up in Sports, Inc., an organization founded last year that is dedicated to making, collecting, and donating professional sports teams-inspired quilts for children in medical, social, and mental-health need. Kate says, “It is our hope that fans of Kevin Youkilis and the charities he supports will rally together to help create enough quilts to give the kids of The Italian Home for Children quilts to provide them with comfort and pride as they cheer on their beloved sports teams”.
